CMC Representative for Workshop On SME Best Practices in Service Sector 2012
Our Director, Datin Adilah Abdullah has been nominated by MPC to represent the SME organization to attend the ?Workshop on SME Best Practices in Service Sector?. The workshop was sponsored by Japanese government, will be held from 1/10/2012 ? 6/10/2012 in Tokyo, Japan.
This nomination is a recognition to CMC by MPC on our effort to inculcate the service excellence culture in the Company daily operation. For your reference, MPC (Malaysia Productivity Corporation) which was formerly known as the National Productivity Corporation (NPC) was established as a join project between the United Nations Special Fund and the Federal Government with the International Labour Organization acting as its executing agency.

CCU gets RM673.9mil LRT extension job

KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd has issued a letter of award to CMC-Colas-Uniway (CCU) to undertake works on the Kelana Jaya Line extension project worth RM673.9mil. ?The Kelana Jaya Line will be extended from the Kelana Jaya station by another 17km and reaching up to Putra Heights through 13 new stations. ?The light rail transit (LRT) extension project was announced in Budget 2009 and undertaken to improve the efficiency of the public transportation in the Klang Valley,? Prasarana said in a statement yesterday. Although the CCU consortium partners were not revealed in the statement, it was believed that CCU is led by British firm, Colas with a local partner. CMC Engineering Sdn Bhd. On Nov 26, 2010, Prasarana has awarded contracts worth RM1.7bil for the first phase (Package A) of the RM7bil LRT extension project involving the Kelana Jaya and Ampang lines. Package A of the Kelana Jaya line, valued at RM950mil, was awarded toTrans Resources Corp Bhd while UEM Builders Bhd and Intria Bina Sdn Bhd were jointly appointed the nominated sub-contractors for the fabrication and delivery of segmental box girder jobs worth RM93.16mil.
